san antonio estate planning

People often believe that “ESTATE PLANNING” is only for the wealthy, but this could not be further from the truth.

In fact, it is often more important for persons who are not so wealthy to have a plan. Your estate is simply the property you own when you pass away; and an estate plan ensures that this property is distributed according to your wishes once you are gone.

A typical estate plan consists of a will, durable power of attorney, medical power of attorney, health information release, declaration of guardian, and directive to physicians (aka a living will), and everyone over the age of 18 should have one. It is truly one of the best gifts you can give your family. Your estate plan provides a roadmap for honoring your wishes, and will save your family the financial and emotional expense of trying to navigate without one.

My phone conversation with Charlie was pleasant and informative. He called on time, was friendly, polite, professional, told me his opinion, and what he would do and alternatives of action. If I decide to continue the pursuit, I will continue with Charlie.

Fabulous legal advice and attention to details. Highly recommended for such a significant time in my life.

- Lia

All throughout the death of my father after setting up a plan for both of my parents, he continually provided advice and answered every question and concern I had throughout this whole process. Dealt with Mr Weisinger primarily and it was a very good experience. Only charged me when he needed to get directly involved in a particular situation. All questions and advice given were answered fairly quickly and with no charge. I appreciated his help and advice during a fairly stressful time for me and my mother.

- Jeffrey

Staff & attorneys went above and beyond the Call of Duty in answering all our questions. Great experience I highly recommend them to protect your family’s hard-earned assets.

- John Chiara

I felt very confident that I was in good hands. The meeting was professional, yet human. Law can be a cold, hard subject! Mr. Weisinger made us feel that everyone’s best interest in our will and estate plan was at heart, fair and by the law. The work was done timely, efficiently and clearly understood. Two thumbs up!

When you need help they are who you need!! They helped me navigate the endless insanity when my husband passed away suddenly. Now I’m no longer alone not knowing what to do next! I can’t thank them enough!

Special needs deserves a special understanding.

special needs Trusts

If you have a child or family member with special needs, specific planning is necessary to ensure that they are protected should something happen to you. Traditional gifting of money or property to a person with special needs can cause more harm than good.

If you are thinking of leaving assets meant to benefit a person with special needs, contact us to make sure the items are left in a Special Needs Trust to benefit the person as you intend.
